Two from Ronald Malfi this week. One of my top five favorite authors for many reasons, two of which are the below titles. Both are shining examples of his work and why he is on my must buy list.

They Lurk

Another great release from Ronald Malfi. It’s no secret that Malfi is one of my favorite writers and They Lurk is just one more shining example of why. These five novellas are all wildly separate stories, but each carries the mounting dread that Malfi does so well.
The sense of time and place is another favorite aspect of mine, as every Malfi story that I’ve read does a phenomenal job of placing the reader into the story. You can almost see the smoke rising from the chimneys, or your breath misting into the frigid night air. As a Malfi reader, you experience the story, almost as if you were part of it.
Another highly suggested read. 5 stars.
Come With Me

A phenomenal blend of mystery, suspense, and horror, Malfi thrusts the reader into the tragic aftermath of an active shooter incident. As new widow Aaron Decker tries to make sense of his loss and put his life back together, an unexpected discovery in her things leads him on a dark path of discovery. The road grows ever darker as Aaron realizes that his wife had more secrets than he knew and his obsession with the truth slowly consumes him.
This one checked all the boxes for me. Jammed with twists and turns, dark thoughts and mounting tension, another full immersion story as only Malfi can. Get it. Read it.
