03/31/2025: WOMEN IN HORROR: Forging the Way, Past and Present

Writer: Candace NolaCandace Nola

Welcome to Women in Horror Month for 2025.

To wrap up an amazing month-long tribute to the lovely ladies of lore, gore, and more, I want to leave you with a list of names. These women, some from decades ago, and some from right here and now, rapidly rising through the ranks, all deserve to be applauded and widely read, along with so many of their peers.

These incredible voices, from all walks of life, are trailblazers. They are why so many of us can write in this once male-dominated space now, and why so many of us even began writing in the first place. Each one is a true source of inspiration. See them. Read them. Teach them. Women in horror are not going anywhere.
